4 SWORDSMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE FENCING
Festival Plaza Culture Tent Area
The 4 Swordsmen of the Apocalypse Fencing organization will be honoring the German sport of fencing with fencing demonstrations. Members of the group will be on hand to answer questions. Budding swordsmen will be able to try their skills with safefoam swords.
Headwaters Park – South Parking Lot.
Carriage rides for All Occasions will provide free horse-drawn carriage rides for all.

THE SHIRE OF SHADOWED STARS
Step back into the Middle Ages when Germany was known as the Holy Roman Empire. See recreations of armored combat, dancing, fencing and historical displays that showcase how our German ancestors lived. The Society for Creative Anachronism is an international historical recreation and education society that features the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The Fort Wayne chapter is the Barony of Shadowed Stars.
2:00 pm Mark’s Ark
Mark’s Ark, based in Harlan, Indiana brings wild things to parties, schools, senior centers and all kinds of special events. The new business, owned and operated by Mark Kohlhorst, presents a variety of critters and an entertaining show for many kinds of events. Mark presents animals in a hands-on, friendly presentation with humor and taste and assures that all animals are safe and handled appropriately. Mark has a great sense of humor and looks the part of an animal handler in his safari clothes and wide-brimmed, outback style hat.
