It’s Wunderbar!  Come celebrate the 38th anniversary of Germanfest!  Germanfest invites local and visiting dignitaries, sponsors and the public to participate in the traditional opening ceremony and the tapping of the first keg.  Attend the ceremonies, enjoy the music and dine on the fine German food like traditional brats, hot off the grill, homemade sauerkraut, potato salad, and of course, the kuchen (German cake) for dessert!

Kick off the Germanfest week with the GermanFest 5K! This evening race is a fun event for the whole family.  The evening starts with a kids fun run and followed by the official Germenfest 5K shortly after.  Both start at Lawton Park downtown Fort Wayne.

Then evening doesn’t end with the race.  Take your race bib to the entrance for the Germanfest festival to gain one free entrance for each bib.  So don’t forget to stash a form of payment in your run gear for all that great German food and beer.
